Climbing is an inherently dangerous sport. Everyone participating in any activity or event at Granite Arch must have a current “Release of Liability, Waiver and Assumption of Risk” form (also referred to simply as a “Waiver”) on file at Granite Arch.

IF YOU ARE UNDER THE AGE OF 18 your Waiver must be signed by YOUR parent or your court appointed, legal guardian. There are no exceptions to this requirement. Waivers signed by a minor’s grandparent or other relative, neighbor or friend will not be accepted unless they are the minor’s court appointed legal guardian.  If you are completing a Waiver on behalf of a minor as their court appointed legal guardian, please refer to the section below for specific requirements.

THREE OPTIONS FOR COMPLETING YOUR WAIVER OR A MINOR’S WAIVER:
Option One: In Person

The best and preferred option is to fill out your Waiver or your child’s Waiver in person at one of the waiver stations in Granite Arch. When you complete the check-in process your Waiver will be entered into our system for future visits.

Option Two: Online
The second option is to complete the Waiver online by clicking on the link below. Please note that when filling out a Waiver online it requires email verification. IF YOU ARE COMPLETING A WAIVER ON BEHALF OF A MINOR ONLINE, YOU MUST ENTER YOUR EMAIL IN THE SPACE PROVIDED (not the minor’s email). When you arrive at Granite Arch let our counter staff know you completed your Waiver online and they will access it and enter it into our system at that time.

Option Three: Paper Waiver
You can also download a pdf copy of our Waiver by clicking on the appropriate link below.  You can then print it, fill it out, and bring it with you to Granite Arch (or send it along with your child if they are part of a group). Please be aware, however, that paper waivers are only good for the day you bring them in. REMEMBER, IF YOU ARE COMPLETING THE WAIVER ON BEHALF OF A MINOR YOU MUST BE THEIR PARENT OR THEIR COURT APPOINTED LEGAL GUARDIAN.

COMPLETING A WAIVER ON BEHALF OF A MINOR AS THEIR COURT APPOINTED LEGAL GUARDIAN:
-If you are completing a Waiver in person on behalf of a minor as their court appointed legal guardian, you must present the appropriate court documentation when you come to Granite Arch.
If you are completing a Waiver online on behalf of a minor as their court appointed legal guardian, you must either accompany them to Granite Arch and present your appropriate documentation or they must present a copy of your appropriate documentation when they arrive if they are part of a group.
-If you are completing a paper Waiver on behalf of a minor as their court appointed legal guardian, a copy of your appropriate documentation identifying you as the minor’s guardian must be attached to the paper Waiver.

Whether you choose to fill out your Waiver at Granite Arch, online, or on paper, please take the time to review the Granite Arch Gym Rules prior to completing the Waiver form. The rules are posted in the gym or you can click on the link below to view a pdf copy.
